Be smart. Be water.
My last post “Just add Water” reminded me water is my favorite thing; particularly the ocean. For me there is no vacation without a body of water nearby. You can ask anyone I’ve traveled with, if you want to climb a mountain, go traipsing through the forest or jump from a tree in a foreign country with thin safety regulations, it’s probably going to be a “no” for me.
BUT if there is a boat or a beach involved, I’m all the way in! I just love being close to water, admiring its quiet power and listening to the waves hit the sand (a cocktail or two doesn’t hurt either🤗😉 but I digress).
ehem!
I love the ocean’s healing properties. It carries minerals necessary for cellular metabolism, is an antiseptic, calms skin irritation and can aid wound healing.
If we are viewing water as a classic element, it can be described as tasteless, odorless and very near colorless. It has been coined the “solvent of life”. It is unique in that it can shape-shift into a solid, liquid or gas depending on conditions. Water can be stealth and graceful and can move into cracks and crevices unsuspected. It can expand by as much as 9% under freezing conditions and often bursts out of its container if not maintained properly.
Water is the most abundant compound in the universe. It can literally heal you or kill you. So when I’m close to it, the mere fact that it’s being cool to me in that moment, I think is pretty dope!
I’ll wrap this up with a quote in my top ten, by Lao Tzu. He says: “Water is fluid, soft, and yielding. But water will wear away rock, which is rigid and cannot yield. As a rule, whatever is fluid, soft, and yielding will overcome whatever is rigid and hard. This is another paradox: what is soft is strong.”
I guess I said all that to say,
Water is pretty bad ass.
Be smart. Be water! 💦
…as always, I’m rooting for you! Xoxo 💋
